BITS 2+2: A Seamless Path to Global Engineering Excellence

BITS Pilani has partnered with five prestigious universities for its 4-year B.E. programmes: RMIT University in Australia, the University at Buffalo in the USA, Iowa State University in the USA, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States and CentraleSupélec in France. Through these 2+2 programmes, students complete the first two years of their studies at BITS Pilani and the final two years at the respective partner university abroad, provided they meet the partner university's eligibility criteria. Upon graduation, students earn dual engineering degrees, one from BITS Pilani and one from the partner university.

BITS Pilani has partnered with RMIT University in Australia to establish the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy. This academy offers 2+2 collaborative degree programmes in five engineering disciplines: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics (EEE), Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Computer Science (CS).

  • Admission at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus is described under the section 'Admission Modality'.

BITSAT: Testing Reinvented for Today's Learners

  • The candidate sits in front of a computer, and the questions are presented on the monitor. The candidate submits their answers using a keyboard or mouse.
  • The computer is connected to the server, which delivers the test in real time through a reliable connection.
  • The online tests are conducted at centres across India, Nepal and Dubai during May-June every year (in 2 sessions).
  • The candidate can choose the centre, date, and time for the test, as per their convenience, when applying for the test.
  • The score is made available to the candidate on the screen immediately after the test and thus is designed to be transparent. Students can even take a printout of their scores through the link made available on the admission website for any further usage.
  • The test consists of Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics/Biology parts, and is 3 hours in duration
  • The advertisement calling for applications is normally released in December/January every year.
  • All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions) and based on the current NCERT syllabus.
  • The test is designed so that it doesn't require the candidate to have any special computer skills.
  • A sample test will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS admission Website, on which he/she can practice as many times as desired during March-April every year.
  • In BITSAT, the questions are selected at random from a large question bank. Different candidates will get different question sets, but of the same difficulty level and content.
  • BITSAT uses the latest technologies for security and test delivery. The architecture utilises high-end servers, firewalls, and the latest software.
