Institute Innovation Council (IIC) – Nurturing Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship at BITS
Words such as "entrepreneurship" and "startups" took root at BITS Pilani long before they became buzzwords. Navigated by a strong heritage and a strong network of alumni, serial entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and business leaders, BITS offers a vibrant ecosystem to nurture ideas and turn them into successful ventures. The Institute Innovation Council (IIC), located on all BITS campuses, is at the forefront of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship initiatives. Its purpose is to establish an enabling environment for the development, protection, awareness, and commercialisation of intellectual property (IP), while linking students and teachers with Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) to foster emerging startups. With strong student E-Cells, specialised academic programs, and guidance from veteran faculty and industry leaders, the IIC enables students to lead, innovate, and be part of the larger entrepreneurial community, both on campus and nationwide.
