Preparing Mechanical Engineers for Industry 4.0

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Dubai Campus educates tomorrow's engineers by amalgamating classroom learning with practical hands-on projects, focusing on the process of learning and critical thinking, promoting professional relationships within the university and industry.

Students are trained to solve engineering challenges in various domains including design, optimisation, manufacturing, thermo-fluids and engineering management, with applied exposure to Robotics & Automation, Mechatronics, Energy and Materials, 3D Printing, HVAC and Aeronautics. Training in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS, MSC ADAMS and MATLAB strengthens professional readiness. We also enable students to actively engage with professional bodies, MEA, ASME, SAE, ASHRAE, BAEROS, to name a few, while faculty-led research and consultancy in Robotics, Energy Management and Material Testing are supported by well-equipped laboratories.
