Thermal Systems Lab

Faculty-In-Charge

Prof. Vadiraj Hemadri

Lab Overview

Thermal Systems Lab works on advanced thermal management technologies, focusing on multiphase heat transfer devices, nanofluids and wettability alteration techniques to improve heat transfer. The lab also carries out fundamental research in the area of boiling and condensation and superhydrophilic and superhydrophobic surfaces. The insights obtained from these studies is applied in electronics cooling, atmospheric water harvesting systems and Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS) for Electric Vehicles.
