Building Agile Leaders for a Changing Global Economy

The Department of Management at BITS, Pilani, was established in 1971 and initially offered the two-year MBA programme, but later in 1973, when the institute created an integrated educational structure, MBA became a part of the integrated first degree programme, Master of Management Studies (MMS), that blends engineering and management. This programme was successfully offered for three decades, but considering the fast-evolving needs of the industry and the dynamic workplace, the course was restructured as an MBA in 2006. The Department of Management is among the top 25 B-Schools in India (The WEEK Hansa Research Best B-Schools Survey, 2024) and 451-500 globally (QS Business & Management Subject Ranking 2025).
