I-cell is to promote and support innovations across the spectrum of science and technology with applications in any field. The purpose of this unit is to promote and support innovations across the spectrum of science and technology with application in any field. It collaborates with various technical clubs, societies, and teams on campus to strategically develop a healthy culture where skills are developed and ideas are generated. I-cell is a part of the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) and works in collaboration with Technology Business Incubator (TBI).

Our Purpose
I-Cell aims to:

Creating strategic partnerships with various national and international organisations working to promote innovation.
Create awareness about various new avenues.

Develop various skills among students required for the successful implementation of ideas.

Sandboxx/ Tinkerer’s Lab
The Sandboxx/ Tinkerer’s Lab is part of the Innovation Cell and is independently operated by the student governing body. The Sandboxx/Tinkerer’s lab is a platform that enables students to create technologies that solve real-world problems at the interface of:
Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, etc.)
Sciences (Biology, Physics, Pharmacy, etc.)
Design & Creativity
Access to the facility
Open Membership – No screening process is required.
Affordable Charges – A nominal yearly membership fee grants access to individuals, clubs, or societies.
Inclusive Access – Students, research scholars, staff, faculty, or anyone associated with BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus can join.
Constitution-Based Rules – Members must adhere to the lab constitution and governing guidelines.
*There is no restriction on the use of any equipment within the premises. No equipment can be taken out of the premises without the permission of the treasurer.
