Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Established in 2000, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BITS Dubai Campus, is among the institution’s founding academic pillars. The institution boasts over twenty years of academic experience, establishing a reputation for excellence in teaching and research across various engineering fields- electrical, electronics and computer engineering, instrumentation & control and communication engineering. We prepare students for challenging roles in various domains while creating a real-world impact in research and innovation that contribute to societal progress. The Department offers a pool of electives that primarily cover modern technologies. Learning comes to life in advanced laboratories that provide extensive practical learning, efficaciously supporting both academic and research activities. Beyond the classroom, students dive into engagement with professional and technical bodies, the Association of Electronic Engineers (AOEE), IEEE, Women in Engineering (WIE), the Intelligent Flying Object for Reconnaissance (IFOR) team and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), to name a few. These diverse platforms cultivate leadership, collaboration as well as innovation that encourage learners to graduate as confident, future-ready engineers.
